  • Purpose:
        ✔ PURPOSE: To assist Head of Student Performance in conduct of university exams in accordance with the university principles, protocols and regulations. In particular, to seek compliance to all requirements prior, during, and after the examination. CONTEXT: The university conducts exams on a number of occasions, including, but not limited to, entrance and module-level exams. In order to ensure consistency in the administration and conduct of the exams, it has been decided to employ and train a professional team of colleague who will be responsible for making sure that all exams are uniformly conducted and all the requirements set for those exams are fulfilled. Invigilators have a student and applicant-facing function, and the job specification requires a high level of professionalism and personal integrity in order to maintain the image of the university and its directedness at academic quality and maintenance of high standards

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To be responsible for an area of work as designated by the Head of Student Performance.
  • To assist in preparation of rooms for the conduct of the exam
  • To conduct of the exams in accordance with rules and procedures of the University
  • To conclude the exams and submit all the required documentation to the Academic Registrar
  • To participate in regular invigilator training
  • To report all cases of administrative irregularities to the Head of Student Performance in the agreed format
  • To report all cases of academic misconduct in the designated format to the designated office
  • To familiarize with the University of Westminster Regulations in relation to invigilation and WIUT protocols in relation to conduct of the exam
  • To assist in administrative processing of the exams prior and after the exam delivery
  • Not to disclose any personal and exam-related information to the third parties
  • To be present at the University at the times specified by the Head of Student Performance
  • To report as soon as becomes known, but prior to the exam, any relationship with the candidate(s) sitting the exam to the Head of Student Performance
  • To undertake other duties at a similar level of responsibility and challenge as and when required in consultation with the Head of Student Performance or Academic Registrar

Requirements

  • No prior experience is required
  • Candidates should have a good command of spoken and written English.
  • Attention to detail, clear communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Conditions

Training dates: March 18, 19, 20

Invigilation: During Assessment Period – October, December, February, April, and June.
